This was my first and definitely not my last tall ship adventure. I love to be on the sea and cruising is my favourite way to travel so I was very excited to get the opportunity to sail on a tall ship.

What were your top moments?

1. The sailaway - it was the best sailaway I have ever done! I actually got a bit emotional as the sails were raised and the wind took control and we started to cruise. It was a beautiful experience, one I will never forget. I have spoken to fellow Star Clipper clients, and they all agree that is a very special moment and a memory that will stay with you forever. 

2. Visiting Palma - what a beautiful city with a rich offering of art, culture and gastronomy. Its historic streets are home to top restaurants, enticing boutiques stores, contemporary galleries, and a bustling fresh food market. There was such a fantastic buzz and it was so picturesque, it is definitely somewhere I will be returning to for a city break!

3. Sailing the ship. Yes, I actually got to steer the ship out at sea! Being on the Star Clipper is such a different atmosphere from any of the bigger cruise ships and you can really get involved if you want to, from raising the sails to steering the ship! I can now tie a good sailor knot as-well.
