The Peakes Travel Elite family has grown this year with the addition of three new members of staff. We have recently welcomed Laura Malone, Sue Jones and Torr Walker to the team.

Laura joins the team as a Travel Consultant focussed on long haul holidays. She has been working in the travel industry for 10 years, starting as a BA stewardess where she travelled extensively.

Laura will bring a wealth of travel knowledge to the firm, having lived all over the world, including Australia. Laura even organised her own abroad wedding in New York! She now lives in Shrewsbury but still has a base in Dubai.

Laura said, “It is wonderful to be part of the Peakes Travel Elite team, they have all been so kind and welcoming. We are visited by so many lovely customers looking for holiday inspiration, I can’t wait to help more people with their holiday plans.”

Sue Jones has joined as the Meet and Greet for the team and will probably be the first person you meet when you visit us in store!

Sue joins the team with 16 years of experience working in the travel sector, 11 years of which were spent working for Thomas Cook. Sue has also travelled all over the world, and loves sharing her travel tips.

Sue said, “It is fantastic to be working for an award-winning travel agency, and with such a fantastic, knowledgeable team. I am on the front desk, greeting customers on arrival and supporting the team with administrative duties.” Sue also lives in Shrewsbury.

Torr Walker is the latest addition to the team, as a Travel Consultant specialising in European trips. Torr also joins us from Thomas Cook, where she worked for 7 years. She started out there as an apprentice and has worked her way up to consultancy level. 

Torr, who also lives in Shrewsbury, has travelled extensively around Europe, and has also explored the Caribbean and Thailand. She commented, “I’m really enjoying being part of the Peakes Travel Elite team. It’s great to join an independent travel agency with such an abundance of expertise. It’s an incredibly warm and friendly team here, and I’m proud to be part of it.”
