What were your top 3 moments?
1. Cruising along the Danube on a sightseeing River Cruise. We passed by Margaret Bridge, Buda Castle, Gellert Hill and the Hungarian Parliament Building at Sunset when the lights are switched on.
2. Trying the local speciality dishes in the Central Market Hall – including Langos and Goulash.
3. No visit to Budapest is complete without visiting one of the hundreds of thermal baths the city has to offer. Relax in the warm to hot pools, steam rooms and saunas.
A reason to return?
Budapest has such beautiful architecture; I would like to return in the summer when the weather is a little warmer. I would love to revisit to combine the trip with a couple of different European Cities and travel between them via the rail network (e.g. Vienna and Prague).
